Design

The Samsung Q90 has a decently slim look to it. This is of course due to samsung having all its components and ports housed in their signature “One Connect” Box. The TV has a very minimal bezel around the front and a very nice almost black metallic look on the back of the TV.

Along with the sleekness of the TV its self a lot of props can be given to the base of the TV. If you do not plan on mounting this TV is definitely has a high quality stand to it. It is a centralized base with a good weight to it that helps it make the TV feel very secure. The stand itself has a footprint of 13.4 x 11.2 inches, and raises the TV up about 9 inches. It also weighs a little more than 15 pounds! Most TV’s have 2 separate plastic stands on each end of the TV that feel cheap and not very sturdy. Samsung definitely put a lot of effort into this model.

Samsung has really marketed itself has a company that produces very aesthetically pleasing TV’s. A lot of it is credited to their signature One Connect box. This allows for all of your cables in your home theater setup to be connected to the one connect box instead of all directly to the TV. The only cable connected to the TV is there proprietary one connect cable that sends power, video, and audio to the TV. This makes for a very clean look whether you wall mount it or have it on a stand.

Verdict

The Samsung Q90 QLED TV is one of the best smart TVs around. It has a great amount of smart features, amazing picture quality and a very stylish design. This TV is hands down the best LCD based TV we have reviewed and absolutely competes with Sony and LG OLED TV’s which can carry a higher price tag
